How to Display Faberge Collectible Eggs

The name Faberge still elicits a sense of regal beauty, awe, and majesty in the minds of individuals all over the world. An exquisite jeweler to the Russian royal family, Carl Faberge became best known for his unusual and unique decorative eggs. Carefully and colorfully hand-enameled and set with jewels, pearls, crystals, and adornments of gold, silver, and other metals, Faberge and Faberge-style eggs continue to be a hit with die-hard collectors. Because the eggs come in different sizes, they can be displayed a number of ways.

Faberge or Faberge-style eggs
Household furnishings
Lighted collector's case
Bookshelves
Collector domes and/or boxes

  Feature smaller Faberge eggs on a decorative wall shelf or sconce or put them inside of a shadow box.

  Cluster several similar Faberge eggs together to decorate a specific room of the home (like a living area or bedroom). Choose like or complementary colors and/or styles that are keeping with the overall decor of the room. Place the eggs on dressers, side tables, or bookshelves where they serve as a focal point or mix and match them with existing decor.Leave them closed or open some or all of them to reveal the special surprises held within.

  Store eggs individually under glass domes, in plastic cases, or inside of boxes that were specifically constructed to hold the eggs. Then use the boxes as part of the room decor, as a bookend for a bookshelf, or as a focal point for a general art collection.

  Purchase a lighted display case to be used solely for the purpose of displaying Faberge eggs. Arrange eggs by color, style, or other similar traits.

  Display Faberge eggs along with crystal dishes or china inside of a china cabinet. The pieces will work together to bring out the beauty of the dishware as well as the eggs themselves.
