Visit Bonus Stage Video Games on 31st Street in Astoria. This Queens video-game store is small, but makes up for what it lacks in size with a great selection and highly informed staff. If you have the barest idea of what type of game you'd like to purchase, the staff will point you in the right direction in no time. This store is a must-visit for any gaming fans in the area.
Stop by Best Buy on Broadway in the Upper West Side. This spacious store has a good selection of video games at moderate prices, which is what Best Buy is usually known for. You might not be able to find the vintage video games that are available at some other specialty shops in the city, but you will be able to get up-to-the-minute releases for a reasonable amount of money--not to mention that the staff is terrific.
