Things You'll Need
Instructions
List an ad on Craigslist. You can stick to your own town, but if you’re willing to ship the plates you should consider running several ads in different cities. The website has a specific area for collectibles in its classifieds section and it’s free to list an ad.
Create an ad on MySpace forums. Like Craigslist, MySpace has a free forum where you can list different things as long as you have an account. You should also check out their groups and join one specific to Thomas Kinkaid. You can then list the plates you have for sale along with your prices.
Join eBay and list your collector plates on the website. You’ll need to pay a fee for the listing and another fee when the plates sell, but you can set your own prices. You might not sell all of the collector plates at one time.
Set up a small booth at a local flea market. Here you’ll have a better chance of selling your plates because you’ll find collectors and other people who think the plates are pretty or nice. They may buy them just because they fit with the decor of their home.
Take part in a swap meet if they’re held in your area. Swap meets are like flea markets except they usually have even more people visiting. You can set your own prices and sell to a variety of people, including collectors.
