Know for what purpose you are buying a kaleidoscope. If it is for a child's toy, then an inexpensive one will do. For older children, you may want to buy one with little bit better quality kaleidoscope for more enjoyment. Make sure if it is for a younger child, that you check the age requirements on it to make sure it is not a choking hazard and does not have lead paint on it.
Consider starting a kaleidoscope collection. Any type would be fine to begin your collection with. You may want to research for more rare kaleidoscopes to make your collection unique.
Search online for great deals on kaleidoscopes. Amazon and eBay may have great deals on new or used kaleidoscopes and you can find unique or even one-of-a-kind kaleidoscopes to buy there.
Buy your kaleidoscope either online or in a store in person. Take it home and add it to your collection or watch as your children marvel at its glorious colors. Be certain that you have bought a safe kaleidoscope if you bought it for children.
