How to Frame a Record Cover & Album

A vinyl record and album cover framed together can make an aesthetic decoration for your home or office. It can also be a conversation piece and a way to preserve and display a piece of music memorabilia. Framing is easy to do, but can be costly.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the record cover and album. Generally, records are 10 inches across and album covers are 12 inches by 12 inches. Some vary so double check this by measuring.

    • 2

Cut a mat large enough to fit both your cover and album. If you do not have a mat or experience in cutting, go to your local framing shop to have them cut one for you.

    • 3

Measure the size of the mat, length by width, and find a frame fitting those dimensions. Pick a frame that is right for you. Make sure you like the color, shape and design before making a purchase.

    • 4

Lay the mat down on the glass in the frame. Place your album and cover on the open part of the mat. Put the back part of the frame over that and secure it into place.
