Do your homework. Brush up on the history of the beaches in and around Ontario to learn about old garbage dumping areas, boat traffic and other factors that might help you narrow down the most likely spots to start your treasure hunt.
Ask around. Locals who run beach-theme shops or jewelry made from sea glass are a good source of information on where to search.
Know the best times to search. Visit the shores after a storm has churned up the waters to improve your odds of finding sea glass.
Don't give up. There's never a guarantee that you'll find sea glass even when you visit the most likely beaches. Be patient and remember that half the fun is in the hunt itself.
