Things You'll Need
Instructions
Take your sports cards to an appraiser or grader to find out how much they are worth. This will allow you to price them correctly. Look at auctions on eBay to see what similar cards are going for, or check the price guide on Beckett.com.
Put your nicer cards in individual card sleeves or a display book. It is best to have them in individual sleeves, because you may not be able to sell the whole set at once.
Take clear pictures of your cards or scan them, if you plan to list them online.
List your cards on eBay or Craigslist. Individual buyers will often pay more than a local card shop.
Sell your cards to dealers on websites, such as Beckett.com, Sportsbuy.com or Krukcards.com. These companies purchase and sell sports collectibles. Although they get less traffic than eBay, these sites are more likely to have collectors looking for the card you are selling.
Check to see if there are any sports card shows in your area. Try to sell your collection to a dealer at the show.
