How to Report Damaged Cards to Topps

The Topps Company began producing baseball cards in the 1950s, and over the decades has expanded production to several other sports and fields of entertainment. Occasionally, packages or the cards inside them will become damaged between the time they travel from production to consumer. Topps will replace products from the current year that are defective or damaged as long as supplies last. You can mail your cards to the company up to 25 at a time to get replacements.

Instructions

    • 1

Write a letter explaining the situation to the company. Tell which cards are damaged, and if the packaging was also damaged.

    • 2

Gather together a copy of the receipt from the store where you bought the cards, as well as the pack wrappers and the UPC code on the bottom of the box.

    • 3

Package the items with the defective cards. Topps recommends mailing in padded envelopes or boxes.

    • 4

Send the package (with proof of delivery) to Topps (see Resources for address). The company will send you replacements for eligible cards in two to four weeks. Ineligible cards and those Topps cannot replace will be mailed back to you.
