Things You'll Need
Instructions
Acquire your assets. You can't organize your football cards until you've collected some. Starter kits often are available at hobby stores, sports collectibles stores and trade shows. You can purchase cards in bulk by the box or target specific players and teams.
Purchase a binder and clear plastic sleeves to store, protect and display your cards. These sleeves are like pages in a photo album, with nine slots per page to slide cards into. If you're interested in the value of your investments, you should buy a price guide. Your "mint condition" or perfect cards will be more valuable than ones that have visible damage or defects.
Organize your collection by how valuable the cards are, starting with the most expensive cards in the front and moving to the least valuable ones in the back of the binder. You also could have pages specifically designated for autographed cards if you have some.
Organize your cards by position. For example, set up certain pages only for quarterbacks, running backs or wide receivers.
Organize them by your favorite players or teams. You can have multiples pages with multiple copies of your favorite player.
