How to Make Jersey Cards

Jersey cards are trading cards with important information regarding players. They are made with pieces of jersey, bats and/or logos of the player's team embedded in the card. Jersey cards are made for football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. These cards are collectible and will increase in value. You can make your own Jersey cards and pass them on to your children or share with friends. Homemade Jersey cards may not bring as much value, but they are fun to share your memories of games you attend.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the size card you wish to make in the desktop publishing software. You will need room for a picture and the piece of jersey, bat or logo you will be adding. Most jersey cards have a piece of the jersey embedded to one side of the card or the center.

    • 2

Insert a picture of the player to one side of the card, and create a frame as a place holder for the jersey or bat piece you will be gluing to the card.

    • 3

Select the backside of your card, insert your text box. Next select the font style and size. Type in the stats and other information you have collected.

    • 4

Double check the formatting of your card by selecting "Print Preview." If everything looks in order, print your card on your chosen card stock, depending on the size of your card, you may print four cards to a page or two larger cards.

    • 5

In the place holder, glue your piece of jersey or bat. If you have the logo of your favorite team as a patch, glue it in the frame instead of the jersey or bat piece. To protect your card, use the laminate sheets.
