How to Redeem Buccaneer Trading Stamps

Buccaneer Stamps were a trading stamp issued by Gold Bond Stamp Co. When the trading stamp business began to decline in the 1970s, Gold Bond Stamp Co. diversified into hotels, restaurants and travel and rebranded as The Carlson Company, now known simply as Carlson. Buccaneer Stamps are still redeemable at a rate of 0.001 cents per stamp. A full Buccaneer Stamp booklet contains 1,200 stamps. Once received by Gold Bond Stamp Co., you will receive a check in four to six weeks.

Instructions

    • 1

Add up the total number of Buccaneer Trading Stamps you are redeeming, whether loose or in books.

    • 2

Multiply the number from Step 1 by 0.001.

    • 3

Write a letter to Gold Bond Stamp Co. Include your name, full return address, phone number and total number of stamps you are redeeming. The phone number will be used by Gold Bond Stamp Co. only if it cannot read your writing or if its stamp count differs from your count. The name that you put down is the name that will appear on your check.
