Rhode Island Philatelic Society
The Rhode Island Philatelic Society is a stamp collecting club located in the city of Providence. Members meet regularly to discuss the history of the postage stamp, share their collections and socialize with other members who share their passion. In addition to regular meetings, The Rhode Island Philatelic Society also hosts an annual stamp show, which is the largest event of its kind in the state. These shows feature presentations regarding stamp collecting and have appraisers on hand to evaluate the worth of individual collections. Annual membership fees are charged to both individuals and families.

Slater Stamp Club
The Slater Stamp Club, organized in 1954, is located in the sleepy village of Pawtucket. The club is composed of members with a passion for stamps and a great appreciation for their historical value. The Slater Stamp Club also offers starter kits for newcomers to the hobby and free software programs to help you keep track of your collection. Free literature on the history of stamp collecting is available upon request. Members of Slater Stamp Club can post requests on the club's website in attempts to obtain desired stamps for their collections, to issue trades and to sell their collections. As of August, 2010, there was no cost to join the Slater Stamp Club and the club was open to all interested in stamp collecting.

Rhode Island Postal History Society
The Rhode Island Postal History Society is a group devoted to the historical preservation of postal artifacts and the appreciation of their value in modern day society. It is a division of the Rhode Island Historical Society. The Rhode Island Postal History Society provides extensive insight on the history of the postal service in Rhode Island, in the United States and around the world. Rare stamps, postcards and postal stationery are on display for interested viewers. The society meets regularly to discuss topics relative to postal history and stamp collecting and charges a fee to attend meetings.
