Wild Flowers of Ireland I
The set of seven stamps featured in the Wild Flowers of Ireland I series includes the 4c dog violet, 5c dandelion, 48c primrose, 60c hawthorn, 65c bluebell, ̈́4;2 lords and ladies, and ̈́4;5 dog rose. The stamps were issued September 2004 and designed by botanical artist Susan Sex. There are five stamps with the measurement of 24.13mm by 27mm, while one stamp is 48.26mm by 27mm, and one stamp is 27mm x 48.26mm.
Irish Wild Flower Definitives II
Released April 2005, the second phase of the "Wild Flowers of Ireland," the Definitives series, highlights the bloody crane's-bill, Irish orchid, fly orchid, mountain avens and spring gentian flowers. The bloody crane̵7;s-bill highlights the 1c stamp, while the 2c stamp has the Irish orchid. The fly orchid is on the 7c stamp and the mountain avens appears on the 10c. The ̈́4;10 stamp showcases the spring gentian. Susan Sex, renowned botanical artist, illustrated the five Irish stamps. The 1c, 2c, 7c and 10c stamps are 24.12mm by 27mm, and the ̈́4;10 stamp measures 48.26mm by 27mm.
Irish Wild Flower Definitives III
The third set of the "Wild Flowers of Ireland" series showcases flowers in the Dry Grassland and Rocky Heath classification. Issued February 2006 and illustrated by Susan Sex, the Irish Wild Flower Definitives III series consists of the 12c autumn gorse, 25c common knapweed, 75c navelworth, 90c viper̵7;s bugloss and the ̈́4;1 foxglove. The 12c, 25c, 75c and 90c stamps measure 27mm by 24.13mm, while the ̈́4;1 stamp is 48.26mm by 27mm.
Irish Wild Flower Definitives IV
The fourth set of stamps in the "Wild Flowers of Ireland" series features the black bog-rush, butterwort, purple loosestrife and yellow flag. This series was released March 2007 and illustrated by Susan Sex. Two stamps measure 24.13mm by 27mm and the others measure 25mm by 30mm. The 78c stamp features the black bog-rush, the butterwort appears on the 55c stamp, the 95c stamp showcases the purple loosestrife and the 3c stamp features the yellow flag.
