How to Save Stamps

Stamp collecting is one of the most popular hobbies in the entire world, with more than 20 million Americans actively involved this hobby. This pastime gives the collector the opportunity to keep and store small pieces of history and souvenirs from around the globe, connecting collectors everywhere. Saving your stamps is half the fun of collecting. You can save stamps in many different ways, but using a 14-ring binder with plastic protectors over the pages has proven itself as one of the safest and most organized ways.

Instructions

    • 1

Organize your stamp collection in the order that you'd like them to be stored on the page, using rows and columns.

    • 2

Attach each stamp to a piece of blank album pages, using tweezers if you do not want to over-handle the stamps. You can choose to either stick the stamps directly to the pages or secure them using special stamp hinges, which are glassine strips with a sticky side.

    • 3

Place your stamp pages inside plastic sleeves and put them into a 14-ring binder. The saved stamps will be organized, protected and ready to display to anyone who wants to view them.
