Things You'll Need
Instructions
Decide on a base for your bulletin board. A large piece of styrofoam that comes as packaging material will usually work well. You could actually use just about any sturdy surface, such as the lid of a large cardboard box, for example. When you choose a base, just keep in mind that you will be hanging it up when you are finished so you will not want something too heavy.
Choose a covering for your bulletin board. You can use fabric, wallpaper or wrapping paper. You may have some interesting leftover wallpaper or wrapping paper that just happens to coordinate perfectly with your room. Place your chosen base on the paper and wrap like a package, leaving all seams on the wrong side. Tape or staple your covering to the base on the wrong side.
Use coordinating ribbon to create the effect of an expensive "French" bulletin board. Simply wrap the ribbon around both ends vertically for the easiest version. Or if you are a little handier, you may wish to "criss-cross" the ribbon on the front of the bulletin board. Fasten the ribbon on the back with staples or tape.
Hang up your bulletin board. If you have used styrofoam it will hang up easily. Simply hammer a nail into the wall and stick the bulletin board onto it. If you have used cardboard or something heavier, then tape or staple a piece of string to the back and hang up that way.
