How to decorate flip flops with Trash Bags

If you are looking for a unique and fun way to decorate an old pair of flip flops why not use trash bags. Everyone has at least a few old plastic bags from the last time they went shopping. Now you can put those to good use and have a little fun dressing up an old pair of flip flops with trash bags!

Things You'll Need

flip flops
plastic bags (several)
scissors

  The first thing you will want to do when creating these designer flip flops is to cut the bags to create strips of plastic about 1 inch by 4 inches in size. You will need a lot of these strips.

  After you have cut several bags into strips you will need to begin to tie the strips to your flip flops. I like to start from the center of the shoe and tie one side then go to the other. Make sure you are tie the strips in double knots so they will be secure.

  You will also need to make sure you are tie the strips close together so they will completely cover the strap of your flip flop.

  Once you have both sides of the first flip flop covered repeat the process on the other flip flop and your done! Now you have a pair of rag flip flops you don't have to worry about getting wet and your helped the environment!
