How to Make a Sliding Saw

Why make a sliding saw? Because it helps to ensure that any cut you make is perfectly straight. But why not just buy a table saw? There may be several reasons: 1) Converting your existing hand-held circular saw is less expensive than purchasing a table saw; 2) The space needed for a sliding saw using a conversion system is much smaller than that of a full-time table saw; or 3) Even if you have the money and the space for a table saw, a convertible sliding saw system can be broken apart and is much more portable. So, how do you make a sliding saw from a hand-held circular saw? It's not as hard as it sounds, and the cost is relatively low. Read on.
