Instructions
Draw two skill tiles (either both of the same skill or of different skills) then select a Jedi clan. You can choose from Bantha, Kaadu or Gundark. Your first goal is to pass your initial skill test -- the Bantha clan takes the longest route, but gives you the best chance at passing your Jedi tests. Gundark is the shortest route, while Kaadu lies somewhere in between.
Spin the spinner and move your character the full amount of the spin -- unless you come across a red space. If you reach a red space, you must stop immediately -- even if you have more moves left. Follow the instructions provided by the red space, then end your turn. Notable red squares include "Jedi Trial", "Build Lightsaber"and "The Trials," the last of which will determine if your character is Jedi or Sith.
Draw a "Lesson" card each time you land on a "Lesson" square, and follow the instructions on the card. You'll need to win the encounter in order to gain a skill tile. There is no penalty for losing. Check Step 6 to see how encounters are handled.
Draw a "Mission" card each time you land on a "Mission" square, then follow the instructions. If you win the encounter, pick two skill tiles. If you lose the encounter, lose one skill tile. Check Step 6 to see how encounters are done.
Land on a "Jedi Challenge" square and you'll be forced to challenge another player in the area denoted on the square. Each of you will spin the spinner, then add that number to your pre-existing skill. The higher number wins. If you tie, spin again.
Spin the spinner to determine the outcome to any encounters. Determining if you succeed is done by adding the number you spin to the your character's current skill level and comparing it to the encounter threshold number. For example, if you needed an energy level of 9 to pass an encounter, and your character has a 5 energy skill level, you'll need to spin a 4 or better. To pass the encounter, you need to have a number equal to or greater than the encounter threshold number. If you succeed, grab a skill card of your choice.
Reach the end spaces of the game by moving your character around the board. The first Jedi to make it to the "Final Trial" can add six skills, the second can add three, the third can add one and the fourth gets none. If you've chosen the dark side, the first Sith to reach the Final Trial receives four skill tiles, while the other Sith receive none.
Win games featuring only Jedi or only Sith by having more skill points than every other player. However, if the game features both Jedi and Sith players, the Sith player with the most skill points must challenge the Jedi player with the most skill points. The Sith player may choose three areas in which the two will battle (such as Logic, Fighting and Energy). Both players spin the spinner and add that number to their accumulated skill points, with the highest number winning. If the Sith player wins all three, they win; but if the Jedi player wins one of the challenges, they win.
