Making Cards
Fold a sheet of card stock into even thirds widthwise. Unfold.
Fold the same sheet of card stock into thirds lengthwise. Unfold to see nine evenly sized rectangles.
Cut along the creases to separate the card stock into nine separate cards.
Decorating Cards
Write ̶0;Pictionary̶1; at the top of both sides of the card. Make your text bold and clearly legible, but do not make it larger than 1/2 inch tall.
Draw five rectangles on both sides of the card. Make them nearly as wide as the card itself and no more than 1/2 inch tall. Slightly space boxes from each other vertically for better readability.
Designate one side as the front. Fill in the boxes with the names of the existing Pictionary categories -- ̶0;Person, Place, Animal,̶1; ̶0;Action,̶1; ̶0;Object,̶1; ̶0;Challenge̶1; and ̶0;All Play̶1; -- or five new categories of your choosing. Color in the boxes completely, each with its own unique color. Match the five colors as closely as you can to the colors on your game board to avoid confusion.
Flip the card to the back. Choose words or phrases that correspond to each category and write them in the respective boxes. Indicate the category to which it belongs by writing ̶0;P,̶1; ̶0;A,̶1; ̶0;O,̶1; ̶0;C̶1; or ̶0;AP̶1; prior to each answer. Fill in the boxes with the proper color for the category.
Mark one to two answers per card, in any of the first four categories, with a bold, sideways arrow before the answer. This designates that the round, despite its categorical placement, is meant for ̶0;all play.̶1;
