How to Make a Shirt Game

Anyone who has been to a mall or a supermarket may have chuckled at the sight of a shirt with a particularly amusing slogan on it. In this game, players try to match up humorous drawings such as the ones you see on T-shirts with amusing slogans. Unlike contests based on skill or luck, this game is not so much about winning as having fun, so use it for livening up a party or social event.

Instructions

    • 1

Make a list of 45 random or amusing slogans such as "You're fired!" or "I think I'm pregnant!" in marker on the white paper. Don't worry too much about making your slogans funny or clever --- the humor emerges from the random combination of the shirts and the slogans.

    • 2

Cut out 45, 4-inch by 4-inch boxes of the same color of construction paper. Cut out the slogans from white paper and glue them to the boxes. When the glue dries, stack them together and set them aside.

    • 3

Draw the outline of a T-shirt on a different color of construction paper slightly larger than the slogan cards and cut the shape out. Use this as a stencil to make 14 more cutouts of the same shape for a total of 15. Find 15 amusing pictures you think will work well with slogans, format them so they will fit on the T-shirt cards and print them out. Cut the drawings out and glue them to the T-shirt cards.

    • 4

Make 15 boxes the same size as the slogan cards from a different color construction paper. Label them with point values from 100 to 1,000 with the marker. You now have all the pieces you need for the game.

    • 5

Play the game with group of friends. Each round, one player will act as the judge, and will deal each player three slogan cards. The judge will then place both a shirt card and a point card face down on a table. The judge will turn over the T-shirt card and let the players mull over the best slogan for a minute or two. After this, players will take turns playing one of their three slogan cards. The judge picks which slogan is most amusing, and the winner for the round turns over the point card and received the points on it. Players take turns acting as the judge, and the first player to 3,000 points is the winner.
