How to Make a Giant Jenga Game

Americans are never satisfied with the original. They love sequels, taller buildings and faster cars. The same is true for their love of games. There are hundreds of versions of Monopoly, custom Scrabble and chess games. Jenga, the classic tower game, can be easily adapted to extra-large proportions with just the game itself.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

  1. Skyscraper Jenga

    • 1

      Stack a standard Jenga tower.

    • 2

Dump the contents of a second Jenga set. Divide the pieces into two piles.

    • 3

Set the extra half of the Jenga pieces atop the first tower. As you become more skilled, stack additional pieces to make an even taller tower.

    Double-Wide Jenga

    • 4

Dump the contents of four Jenga sets on a table.

    • 5

Lay down the first layer of the double-wide Jenga tower: a square of six pieces, widthwise, and two long. Lay down the second layer with the short ends facing the long sides of the first layer. Alternate until the tower is complete.

    • 6

Attach double-sided tape to the ends of the Jenga pieces that touch in the centerline of each layer. This will add an additional uncertainty to the tower structure, as the attached ends will hang from the sides and randomly fall from the sides. It is not necessary to attach tape to the first layer. Only poke out one Jenga piece at a time in double-wide Jenga.
