Bakugan Ball Tips
A Darkus deck needs to have the best Darkus Balls you can muster. Darkus Balls are Darkus creatures rolled up into a ball for playing. Good Darkus creatures have high G-power ratings. Players win rounds when their Bakugan's G-power, combined with all bonuses from other cards, is higher than their opponent's Bakugan's G-power. Darkus Frosch, Darkus Laserman and Darkus WormQuake all have high G-powers that put you in the advantage from the first roll.
Bakugan Gate Card Tips
Using Gate Cards that help your Darkus creatures can make the difference between victory and defeat. Once the Bakugan are rolled, the Gate card is flipped over to see its abilities. Use Gate cards that boost your Darkus's G-power. BlindFold Gate, for example, adds a whopping 230 G-power points to Darkus creatures. Against any other type of opponent, such as Haos or Ventus, this bonus is very hard to top. Other good Gate cards for Darkus include Searing Dawn, which adds 210 G-power, and River Styx, which adds 70 G-power and another 100 for every Gate card in your opponents used pile.
Ability Card Tips
Ability cards can be played at the beginning or middle of a round to change the game play and the tide of battle. Because Darkus already have creatures with such high G-power and Gate cards that boost it, you can use your ability cards to defend yourself from your opponent's disruptive tactics. Other types besides Darkus rely more on Ability cards than Darkus does. Masquerade's Throw is a great addition to a Darkus deck because it forces an opponent to lose an unplayed Ability card.
Game Play Tips
Try to find synergy between your Ability and Gate cards and your Darkus creature. Doing so leads to combos that maximize your chances of winning. For example, if you've decided to put Runo's Throw in your deck, you should play your biggest, baddest Bakugan early on. Your opponent may think you've got little left, but when you play Runo's Throw, you get to roll a creature from your used pile again--now your baddy is back in play.
