"Rallyman"
"Rallyman," a board game for one to four players, provides an entertaining rally simulation experience for players ages nine and above. Players have the important goal of trying to reach the end of each stage without losing control of the rally car. Players roll a die to announce the increase in risk level of each play. Drivers collect cards with timings ranging from 10 to 50 seconds. They accumulate to determine the total race time at the special stage. Players must shift gears and consider turns and jumps, avoiding illegal moves, driving through the dirt board game track. The winner is the driver who uses the least amount of time. Players who enjoy "Rallyman" may also enjoy "On the Dirt Track," (1932) found at Board Game Geek Online. This is an entertaining roll-and-move motorcyclist children's race game.
"Garden-opoly"
"Garden-opoly" is all about dirt, weeds, water bills, aphid infestations and dandelion outbreaks. The family-oriented property trading game allows players to purchase garden items and trade them in for others. Each plant deed offers information on the item. This includes such as soil, watering and climate requirements for that plant, as well as the plant's popularity and variety information and points of origin. "Garden-opoly" is designed for two to six players, ages eight and up. "Garden-opoly" fans may also enjoy "Farm-opoly."
"Nitrogen Fate Transformations Game"
The "Nitrogen Fate Transformations Game" (NFTG) is designed and written by Jessica G. Davis of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Education, Volume 26, No. 2, 1997. Nitrogen, being a primary element in soil and an essential nutrient for plant growth, is the focus for this entertaining and educational game. The game educates players about the nitrogen cycle and how it changes form within the soil. Players begin as organic nitrogen in the red zone and move on the game board through transformations, such as ammonium and nitrate. They continue through the transformation processes until they reach the Crop Uptake. Designed on a chutes and ladders concept, ladders represent the mineralization, nitrification, denitrification and volatilization process, moving players up in levels. Slides represent the immobilization, erosion, leaching and runoff areas, sliding players to those sections. If players get eroded, leached or if they end up in a runoff area, they are disqualified.
Dirty Laundry Games
Dirt gets personal in "The Dirt Game," published by Babooshnik Games. An entertaining adult party game, each round takes only 20 minutes to play. "The Dirt Game" features five question categories, prompting players to gather dirt and information from opponents. Players dial in their answers on the secret voter wheel. Players must not only reveal their own dirt, but try to predict other players' answers. Other dirt games within this genre include "Dirty Laundry" and the "Desperate Housewives, Dirty Laundry Game."
