Torbuk
Armored warfare was first used during World War I but it had become a decisive element of the battlefield by World War II. Torbuk is a board game that is centered on the famous tank battles that occurred in North Africa during the Second Great War in 1942. Two or more players can command German, English, American or Italian forces and they battle on a map using various tanks, tank supporting units and aircraft. Other game elements include sandstorms, artillery and troop morale. Most games take about two hours to complete.
Landships
Published in 1994 by Clash of Arms, Landships is a board game that has been established on World War II military strategies. Landships is a two-player game designed for ages 12 and up and it averages two hours of playing time. This strategy game traces the development of combat during the First Great War and it utilizes various elements of early 20th combat that include infantry, cavalry and the tank. Players compete through 20 different historical scenarios. Players move their units across various terrain and obstacles on a hexagonal game board and try to destroy or force other players to surrender.

Atari was the first gaming company to release some early tank game titles that have become nostalgic within the gaming genre. "Combat" is one of those types of games and it became available to the public in 1977. Players have the ability to move through various levels using tanks and planes. Contestants are pitted against each other or the computer in different scenarios. Different levels, which involve tanks, allow players to take on missions as tank commanders and they battle against their enemies by shooting weapons and navigating challenges.
Iron Tank: The Invasion of Normandy
Atari released an arcade game called "Tank" in 1974. This game revolutionized the industry as the first videogame to use ROM (Read Only Memory) chips to store graphic data. ROM technology dramatically improved game graphics and it paved the way for future video games such as "Iron Tank: The Invasion of Normandy." Released in 1988 on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), "Iron Tank" is a military game in which players must defeat enemy forces and rescue hostages while reclaiming the territory of Normandy, France, from German forces. They command and maneuver tanks and battle against various enemy combatants to carry out their mission.
