Instructions
Purchase each property or utility when you first land on it. Since property is essential to winning the game, also purchase property when you have the opportunity. Even if you purchase one property out of the set, you can use the property as a bargaining option for future trades. You must have all two or three properties of the same color before you can begin building houses and hotels on them.
Offer to buy property from your opponents. Desperate players facing possible bankruptcy are most willing to sell their properties. They might consider selling their mortgaged properties if they owe you money for landing on your property. To keep collecting fees for opponents landing on a property, you must pay the mortgage to reactivate the property.
Win the property via auction. If one of your opponents is unable to purchase the property or chooses not to, he will need to auction the property off to the highest bidder. If you are willing to pay more than your opponents, you will win the rights to the property.
Bankrupt the opponent as a result of him landing on your property and being unable to pay the rental fees. For example, if you have a hotel on the "Park Place" property and the opponent who lands on it is unable to pay the $1,500 rent, he will have to file for bankruptcy and forfeit all of his property to you. As you force more opponents into bankruptcy, you can collect all of the property cards.
