Solitaire Marble Game Instructions

Solitaire Marble, a simple strategy game, consists of a cross-shaped board with 45 circular spaces and 44 marbles. Game-play consists of moving one marble over another so that the first marble lands on an empty space. After jumping over a marble, the jumped-over marble leaves the board. To win at Solitaire Marble, you must jump every marble so that only one marble remains. Leaving two to three marbles is considered adequate while leaving five or more marbles is considered a failure.

Instructions

  Arrange the marbles so that the center circle is empty. All other circles should contain a marble.

  Pick up the marble you wish to move. If you are playing a digital version of the game, click on the marble. For the first move of the game, you must move one of the marbles that is two spaces away from the center marble either horizontally or vertically.

  Jump a marble. A marble can jump over only one marble and must land on an empty space. Marbles can jump horizontally and vertically but not diagonally. For the first move of the game, you must move the marble to the empty center square. If you are playing a digital version of the game, click on the empty square to move the marble to its new location.

  Remove the marble you jumped over and set it aside. If you are playing a digital version of the game, the marble will be removed automatically.

  Pick up the next marble you wish to move. Jump over a single marble to land on an empty space. Place the marble on the empty space.

  Repeat the process of jumping marbles until you have no moves left.
