American Trivia Board Game Instructions

Shuffle and place the 45 Flag cards face down in a pile on the corresponding space on the game board.

Choose to play a Regular, Quick or Long game. In a Regular game, players move clockwise around the board twice, while in a Quick game players move around the board only once and three times if you choose to play a Long game.

Select one of the eight playing pieces and place it on the Start square on the board.

Move one square clockwise on the board to begin your turn. A player moves one square forward at the beginning of her turn.

Read a question to a player on his turn from the category, which is indicated on the square he occupies. If he answers the question correctly, he moves ahead one square. Read another question from the category written on that square.

Continue to advance one square on the game board for each question you answer correctly. Your turn ends once you answer a question incorrectly or if you land on a Flag square which instructs you to end your turn.

Select any category you want if you land on a Free Choice square. Do not read the questions before choosing; you can only choose the category, not the question.

Read the top Flag card if you land on a Flag square. Follow the instructions on the card. Instructions include advance to a square, go back to a square, end your turn or answer a question. Place the card at the bottom of the pile once finished.

Select any category you want if the Flag card instructs you to answer a question.

Win the game by being the first player to reach the end of the board. You must answer a question correctly in order to win the game.
