Directions for Clue Junior

"Clue Junior" is the kid's version of "Clue." The goal is to find the identity of a missing child, find where he's hiding, and which pet he has with him. The player solves the mystery by process of elimination. He must keep track of where the other children are in the game and what pets they have with them. "Clue Junior" is for two to four players and is recommended for children ages 5 to 8.

Instructions

    • 1

Shuffle the mystery cards and place one of them in the "revealer" sleeve and close the door. Place character pieces on the start spaces that match each character's piece color. The youngest player has the first turn and play goes left from there. Give each player a pencil and a sheet of paper from the detective notepad.

    • 2

Roll the dice or spin the spinner when it is your turn. Move the number of spaces indicated by the results.

    • 3

Move the piece toward different doors. When you are directly in front of a door, you can use your piece to open the door and look inside. Cross the pictures you see inside the door off of your clue sheet. Do not show the other players the inside of the door. Continue in this manner for each player until someone is prepared to solve the mystery.

    • 4

Make a guess on your turn when you believe you have enough information to solve the mystery. Announce your guess and then open the revealer door to see if you are correct. If you are right, you win the game. If you are wrong, the game will continue without you.
