Clue VCR Mystery Game Fact Sheet

Clue, the popular crime-solving board game created in 1948, added a VCR version in 1985. It has since spawned numerous versions of the game, with many different themes. The game became such a hit that a film of the same title was made in the same year as the VCR game.
  1. Basics

    • Parker Brothers manufactured the Clue VCR Mystery Game. It requires at least two gamers, but is recommended for use by more. The game time is 60 minutes and the manufacturers suggest that it is suitable for players 13 and up.

    Game Description

    • The game is a classic whodunit, with characters from the original game, including Professor Plum and Colonel Mustard. Players have 18 different murder mysteries to solve. They must figure out who was killed in which room and discover who each character each player is playing (each player is a suspect). The game is a test of deductive reasoning and memory.

    Game Contents

    • Each Clue VCR Mystery Game comes with one 60-minute VHS cassette, a card tray, case mysteries and case solutions, a detective casebook, 18 investigation cards, 10 suspect cards, three decks of Clue Cards (28 in each deck), a red filter viewer and a detective fact sheet notepad.
