Cribbage Board Tools

Cribbage is a board game played with two, three, four or more players. The object of the game is to make various sequences of runs, flushes and pairs. Points are scored by making these various combinations and the first person to reach 61 or 121 wins the game. There are a wide variety of cribbage tools available for purchase to add personality to the game.
  1. Cribbage Board

    • Cribbage boards are normally made of wood, and drilled with a series of holes to represent the players moving field. It is traditionally rectangular, with two tracks of holes going around the outside of the board. Some other designs, including 3 and 4 tracks, spiral type and boards with unusual or decorative designs. The basic cribbage board layout has 60 holes for each player, and the winner must move round the board once and peg out to win with 61. The larger board consists of 120 holes and a player goes around the board to peg out to win with 121.

    Cribbage Pegs

    • Cribbage pegs are used to move the player round the board. Each player uses two pegs when moving. A standard cribbage board comes with six pegs each about 1" long. Cribbage pegs come in many different sizes and shapes and are made of various metals such as brass, aluminum, and copper, also wood and even plastic. Some peg shapes include golf tee's, ball tops, and hex heads.

    Playing Cards and Storage Boxes

    • Cribbage is played with a standard deck of playing cards and many cribbage sets come with a variety of storage boxes sold with the game or purchased separately. The storage box will hold the cribbage board, pegs and playing cards. Storage boxes can even be custom made adding a personal and unique touch.
