Instructions
Select a color for each player and count out the armies. For two players use 40 infantries, three players use 35 infantries and so on by removing five infantries per player.
Roll the die to determine which player goes first. The player with the highest number rolled must begin the army placement. Until all territories are claimed, players must take turns placing an army on a territory. After all are claimed, players continue to take turns placing extra armies on their claimed territory until there are no more pieces left.
Shuffle the Risk cards and place them face down near the board.
Count territories at the beginning of each turn and divide the answer by three. Round that to the nearest whole number, and that is the amount of armies you receive. You also receive armies for each continent you own. This number can be referenced on the Risk gameboard.
Capture opponent territories and get a maximum of one Risk card. The goal is to collect three with the same design, or any similar combination of two cards with a wild card.
Trade applicable sets of cards at the beginning of your turn for armies. You do not have to trade in your cards until you start your turn with a maximum of six cards.
Announce what territory you are attacking from the one you plan to attack. You can only attack a territory that touches or connects to your own. Roll the dice simultaneously with the attacked player. If the attacker rolls the higher number, the attacked player loses one army. If the player under attack has the higher roll, the attacker loses an army.
Continue play in this manner for the amount of dice rolled per battle. If you attack and take an opposing player's last army, you get all of his Risk cards. The game continues until one player has eliminated all of the opposing player's armies.
