List of the 1980s Milton Bradley Games

The Milton Bradley toy company was started in 1860, and the brand name of Milton Bradley is still being used as a division of toy maker Hasbro. Milton Bradley made a host of popular games during the 1980s, some based on popular culture and video games.
  1. MAD Magazine's Spy Vs. Spy

    • This board game pits two popular cartoon characters of the 1980's against each other. The black spy and the white spy from "MAD Magazine" are the main characters in this game, and their creative ways of disposing of each other create the action.

    Axis & Allies

    • Axis & Allies was released by Milton Bradley in 1984.The game, based on world conquest has players set up armies in various parts of the world and create alliances. The team that conquers the world by the end of the game is the winner. The game's colorful pieces, game board and strategic game play helped make it popular.

    Centipede

    • In 1983, Milton Bradley created a Centipede game based on the popular video game.

    Fortress America

    • With the success of Axis & Allies in 1984, Milton Bradley released Fortress America in 1986. The game pits one person as the United States Army against invaders from several foreign countries, all attacking simultaneously and all from different directions.

    Parcheesi

    • In 1989, Milton Bradley took a game that had been played in India since 4 A.D. and turned it into a mass-produced board game. The original spelling of the game is "Parchisi", but Milton Bradley changed the spelling for their version of the game to "Parcheesi".

    Pac-Man

    • The Pac-Man board game was introduced in 1982, and was part of the line of video game-inspired board games that Milton Bradley released in the 1980s.

    Donkey Kong

    • The board game of the popular video game Donkey Kong was released by Milton Bradley in 1982. The game pieces in the game mirrored the characters in the video game, including Mario and Donkey Kong himself.
