Marble Pursuit Game Rules

Board games are a great activity for the family or to keep your children busy on rainy days. One game that is easy to learn and play is Marble Pursuit. Similar to Parcheesi or Trouble, Marble Pursuit is sure to provoke competition between players as they send their marble around the playing board and try to win the game.
  1. Object and Player Requirements

    • The object of marble pursuit is to be the first player or team to move all five of your marbles around the board and into your marble launch strip. The game only allots two to six players. If more people would like to play, they can be split into two to six teams. Each player or team has a different colored set of marbles.

    Gameplay Rules

    • All players are dealt five cards and start with five marbles. The first player draws as card from the card pile and adds it to their hand. They then choose one of their cards and move one of their marbles around the board in a clockwise position according to the cards instructions. The card gives specific indication as to how many marbles are allowed to move and how many spaces they can move. Once the card is played, it is discarded and it is the next players turn. Players take turns drawing, discarding and moving marbles around the board. Players must move marbles during their turn, even if it is to their disadvantage.

    Colliding and Jumping Rules

    • A player may land on the same space as their opponent&'s marble. If this happens, the opponent&'s marble is sent back to start and has to begin all over again. A player may also jump over another player&'s marble if it is in the way. However, players cannot jump over their own marbles. One must forfeit their turn if the only move they have left forces them into a position of jumping their own marble.
