Set Up
Up to four players can play at once. Each player chooses a different-colored pawn. All pawns start on square one of the game board. The goal is to reach square 100 before anyone else by avoiding chutes (which bring a player back multiple spaces) and landing on ladders (which spring a player forward).
Player's Turn
Determine which player goes first by having each person spin the spinner. The player that receives the highest number goes first; the next highest number goes second and so on. At the beginning of each turn the player spins the spinner. The player moves his pawn the number of spaces that the spinner indicates. For example, if the spinner lands on three then that player moves his pawn three spaces.
Chutes
If a pawn lands on a square that has a picture of the top of a chute (slide), the player must slide down the chute to the square at which it ends. This forces a player to move back multiple spaces and is considered to be a setback in the game. If you land on a square that is at the bottom of a chute, nothing happens.
Ladders
Players want their pawns to land on squares that are at the bottom of ladders. If a players lands on this type of square, he is allowed to move his pawn to the square at the top of the ladder, which will greatly help his position in the game. If a player lands on a square at the top of a ladder, nothing happens.
