Versions of Monopoly Games

The original Monopoly game, now called Monopoly Classic, was first created and marketed by Hasbro in 1935. The board game's objective is for players to purchase and rent out property. Eventually one player will own the majority of the properties on the board, and the other players will go bankrupt. Since 1935, Hasbro has created many versions of the same game, helping it remain relevant and popular. As of 2010, the game was the best-selling board game in the world.
