The Touch Game for Kids

The Touch is an educational board game. Created by Anthony Innovations, The Touch arrives with all of the pieces ready for play, allowing you to jump right into the game.
  1. Assembly

    • The Touch is always ready to play right out of the box, provided that all the pieces were put back in the central hub after the previous session. The hub that houses the pieces sits at the center of the table. Cards form a ring around the hub.

    Individuals or Teams

    • Players may participate individually or in teams. When competing individually, all players simply watch through the hub's viewing window as the active player tries to remove his pieces from the hub. In a team game, teammates may offer hints to help the active player locate the items. Hinting is left to the discretion of the participants, though it should be tailored to give the children playing the most enjoyment.

    Turns

    • Players take turns feeling for their pieces. To begin a turn, a player spins the dial outside the hub. When the dial comes to rest, it points at one of the cards around the hub, and the active player must try to find the items listed on the card by reaching inside the hub and pulling them out one at a time. The player's turn ends when the game's timer runs out, or when the player pulls out an item that doesn't belong to him.

    Cards

    • When a player takes his turn and reaches into the hub, he can remove an item displayed on any card he owns at the time. The more times he spins, the more cards he acquires. Each additional card makes more scoring pieces available to him.

    Scoring

    • The game continues until all items have been pulled from the hub, at which point every player tallies his score. Each item is generally worth 10 points; but if the player owns every item on a card, each item on that card is worth 20 points. During the game, players may trade pieces in an attempt to increase the value of their haul. The player or team with the most points after the last piece is pulled out is the winner.
