'Eating Skills Game'
This game, as of March 2010, is available on PCIeducation.com for $49.95. This game is one of eight in a series of games that teaches proper behavior in certain settings and situations. This particular game teaches students proper table manners at home and in restaurants. The game includes a game board, die, a teacher's guide, five blank draw cards, six colored game pieces, six individual progress reports and 15 draw cards. According to PCIeducation.com, the game is recommended for inclusive, resource or self-contained classrooms because the game's idea is to encourage eating skills, not who wins or loses. Some eating skills encouraged by this game are "cleaning spilled food/drink from clothes immediately," "identifying acceptable finger foods" and "using sit-down restaurant procedures."
'Five Senses Bingo'
This game, as of March 2010, is available on PCIeducation.com for $39.95. This bingo game utilizes the five senses by encouraging students to describe what they feel, hear, smell, taste and touch. The game includes one spinner, a teacher's guide with assessment checklists, prompts, reproducible study sheets and suggested answers, six bingo boards and 192 bingo chips. Players spin to determine a category, touch, for example, and then a teacher asks to identify an object within that category. An example of a prompt would be, "what does a pillow feel like?" to which a player can respond "fluffy" or "soft," for example.
'Self-Control Patrol Game'
This game, as of March 2010, is available on PCIeducation.com for $52.95. A reproducible workbook is also available for $29.95, as of March 2010, that supplements the game but is not required to play. This game's goal is to help students with social problems like name-calling, for example. As a result, the game does not determine a winner or loser, rather helps players understand consequences of social behavior.
