Game of Knowledge
The "Game of Knowledge" is a great choice for family fun because it is one of the few board games based on general and common-sense knowledge. This game is appropriate for two age groups; 10 to 15, and 16 and up so the playing field is even between parents and kids. Knowledge games are great for helping kids learn more while having fun.
Great States Board Game
The "Great States Board Game" is a great place to start teaching your kids about the United States. All questions are filled with random facts and figures about the U.S., encouraging the family to broaden their knowledge about the country's rich history.
Exago
If you are not a fan of games that focus on factual knowledge, then try "Exago." "Exago" is a strategy game where each player focuses on getting four tiles in a row. The first player to do this wins. Although it sounds simple, the game becomes complicated and will stimulate your family's competitive side.
Loopit
"Loopit" is another strategy game for the entire family. In this game, you receive your own personal tiles, each with letters on them, and then you attempt to connect your tiles on the board to spell words. Since each tile is worth a certain amount of points, winning is based upon which tiles you play. "Loopit" is great for grammar, as it is a modified version of "Scrabble."
Taboo
If looking for a louder, more interactive game, then "Taboo" is your answer. "Taboo" focuses on giving your team secret clues, which will lead them to guessing the secret word. The opposing team watches to ensure that you do not use any of the forbidden words.
