How to Play Boggle Better

Shake up the lettered dice and start the timer. The race is on to see who can get the most words, with the highest points, and thus become the winner of the game of Boggle. Boggle, marketed by Parker Brothers and Hasbro, is a classic word game that has morphed into several versions, with Boggle Junior for kids, and Boggle Folio, in addition to classic Boggle. You can also play Boggle with online or download a computer version. Following a couple key strategies will help you become a better Boggle player.

  Look for words that you have seen your opponents use in previous rounds. Keep a record of them, either mentally or on a piece of paper. These can give you a jump start when the game begins.

  Check your words, especially the long ones, to see if you̵7;ve reused any letters. This will help you to avoid losing points from your score later on.

  Look for other forms of a word that you̵7;ve found on the board. For instance, look for plural, future or past tense forms.

  Stop worrying about the timer. It̵7;s fine to be cognizant of it, but continually checking it makes you lose valuable time. Use every last second you can to look for words.
