Board Game Instructions for Yahtzee Turbo

In the game of Yahtzee Turbo, your goal is to roll five dice while attempting to match the values listed on a particular card. As you roll your dice, a timer called the Big Die monitors your progress. Take too long and you'll be forced to draw another card. Be the first player to discard your entire hand to win.
  1. Set Up the Game

    • Assemble the game area by placing the electronic Big Die in the middle of the players. Choose a dealer who will shuffle the cards and deal five to each player. As you receive cards, place them face up in a pile in front of you. Players should be able to see their opponent's cards. There are 48 cards in the deck, so all remaining cards should be placed in the center of the game area to be drawn from when the time comes. Each player rolls one die, with the highest role being the player who goes first. Game play will continue to the left.

    Card Types and Values

    • In Yahtzee Turbo, there are six types of cards. Each card has between three and five dice that must be matched with player rolls. Two types of cards are the ̶0;Three of a Kind̶1; and ̶0;Four of a Kind,̶1; which mean that three or four matching dice must be rolled during a turn, while the remaining dice can be of any value. Two other types of cards feature a sequence of dice values, the ̶0;Small Straight̶1; being comprised of a one, two, three, four and five, while the ̶0;Large Straight̶1; is made up of two, three, four, five and six. A combination of a pair of matching dice and a three of a kind is referred to as a ̶0;Full House.̶1; There are also cards in the deck that feature a random selection of dice values. These are known as ̶0;Chance!̶1; cards and feature five random values, such as a one, four, five and two sixes.

    Play the Game

    • Start your turn by tapping the top of the Big Die, which is the timer for each round of the game. Look at the top card in your pile. You need to match the values listed on the card by rolling five dice. As you roll, take any matching dice and place them aside. For example, if your card has four dice each having a value of five dots and you roll three dice with five dots each, place them near your card and roll the remaining two dice until one of them is a five. Tap the Big Die when you have completed the card. At the end of your turn, you will be instructed by the Big Die on whether to discard your top card or be forced to draw another from the deck. The next player continues the same way. The winner of the game is the first player to successfully discard their pile of cards by matching the dice values as quickly as possible.
