Objective
In the board game Wahoo, your goal is to be the first player to move all four of your marbles from your Tribal Grounds to your Tee Pee.
Set-Up
Each player takes four marbles of the same color and places them in their respective Tribal Grounds. Your Tribal Grounds are the four spaces outside of the Path that match the color of your marbles. Each player rolls the die in turn. The player who rolls the highest number plays first, followed by the player to her left and so forth.
Gameplay
A player starts his turn by rolling the die. A marble can only be moved out of the Tribal Grounds when a one or six is rolled. The marble is moved onto the space on the Path directly outside of the Tribal Grounds, which is the Starting Position. That player may then roll again and move any marble on the Path the corresponding number of spaces. In other words, if all four marbles are in the Tribal Grounds, the player may only move a marble if a one or a six is rolled. Otherwise, the player may choose whether to move a marble out of the Tribal Grounds or move another marble along the Path, and then she rolls again. If any other number is rolled, a player may only move a marble along the Path and that turn is ended.
Players may not pass or land on their own marbles on the Path. If a player is unable to move a marble without passing or landing on his own marble, that turn is forfeit.
Players may pass other players' marbles. If a player's marble lands on an opponent's marble, the opponent's marble is removed from the Path and returned to her Tribal Grounds.
Players must reach their Tee Pees by exact count. Marbles may not pass each other, even inside the Tee Pee.
Shortcuts
The pink arrows on the game board indicate shortcuts. If a player's turn has ended with a marble on a pink arrow, on his next turn he may move along the pink arrows instead of the normal Path. Each pink arrow counts as one space. The player exits the shortcut path one space before her Tee Pee.
If a player's turn ends with a marble one space beyond a shortcut arrow, he may opt to place the marble on the single space in the center of the board, called the Forehead. If the player rolls a one on a subsequent turn she may move the center marble to the pink arrow just outside her Tee Pee. If an opponent's marble is on the Forehead when a player moves his marble there, the opponent's marble is sent back to its Tribal Grounds.
Winning
When all four of a player's marbles are on the four spaces inside the Tee Pee, that player is declared the winner.
