How to Play the Game of Life: Twists & Turns

The Game of Life offers you the chance to experience life's events in a couple of hours. Buying a house, getting married and starting a family are a few occurrences that take place during the game. While the fundamentals of making your own choices and taking chances still are intact, a few changes have been made from the original version. The Game of Life: Twists and Turns introduces the automated LIFEPod, which keeps track of time, money, cars, houses and family.

Instructions

  Decide on how many turns you will play and enter the information into the LIFEPod. Deal the career cards evenly to each player. Have every player take a reference card.

  Give the LIFEPod to the player with the red Visa card. Have every player choose from one of the four start spaces. Choose a starting space based on whether you want to go to school, start a career, start a family or travel.

  Insert the Visa card into the LIFEPod and press the "Spin" button. Each player starts out with a salary of $5,000, which increases with each promotion. Move your pawn the number of spaces indicated by the LIFEPod.

  Follow the directions of the space you land on. Getting married, participating in auctions, partaking in business ventures and choosing your career are just some of the experiences you will encounter. Landing on a car or house space will allow you to upgrade to increase your worth.

  Enter any new information into the LIFEPod to update your account. Remove your Visa card from the LIFEPod. Pass the LIFEPod to the player on your left. The LIFEPod counts down one year after all players complete a round of turns.

  Collect as many life experiences as you can throughout the game. Wait as the LIFEPod uses a formula to convert your personal possessions into LIFE points at the end of the game. Claim first place as the winner if you have the most LIFE points.
