Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut a circle out of cardboard. Draw several straight lines across it to divide it into slices, like a pie.
Write something different in each segment of the circle. For most games, you can write the number of squares a player will move if he spins that number. You could also add extra instructions, such as "spin again," "lose a turn" or "extra turn" to make the game more interesting.
Cut out a cardboard arrow. Stick a brad through the center of it and through the center of the circle and fasten it. Flick the spinner to make sure it turns.
Get a white piece of poster board to use as a game board. Draw a path along the board consisting of two parallel lines. It can be a simple oval that goes around the outside of the board or a winding trail that goes all over.
Divide the path into individual squares. Each square should be about the same size.
Make a "start" square and a "finish" square. The goal of most spinner games is to make it from the start to the finish based on the luck of the spin. To make things more interesting, you can give some of the other squares consequences. For example, you could have one square that sends you back to the start if you land on it, another square that lets you roll again and another that makes you lost a turn. You can also have blank squares.
Get some playing pieces. You can use coins, tokens from another game, small poker chips or glass beads.
Decorate the game. You can use paint, markers, stickers or whatever else is handy.
