How to Use the Starvation Strategy in Stone Age

Stone Age is a board game with many different strategies. Conventional wisdom is that the most important thing to do is raise your food production so you can feed your tribe, but this isn't always the case. A starvation strategy, where you allow your tribe to starve and lose 10 points every turn, can be surprisingly effective.

  Play on the Family Hut as early and often as possible. Your primary goal is to increase your tribe to 10 people ASAP.

  Send your meeples to gather lots of wood. You'll want to always have enough wood on hand to buy any appealing cards that turn up.

  Buy all the cards you can, with the exception of the farm-point cards. Focus especially on getting cards that reward you for population.

  Avoid the hunting space and farm space, as they are not needed for this strategy.
- 5
  Feed your tribe if you have enough food around to do so completely. If not, do not eat any resources. Instead, simply sacrifice 10 points.
