Instructions
Make the Game
Sand the plywood, removing any rough edges or corners.
Wipe off any sanding dust with a rag.
Paint the top and sides of the board with primer. Allow to dry and paint the opposite side. The entire board should have a coat of primer. Dry completely before proceeding to the next step.
Paint the board with a color of your choice. You may decide to paint the bottom a different color than the top. Allow to dry.
Use the 1” wide paint brush and white paint to paint a 1” wide road that winds in a circle around the board, moving towards the center. It should wind around several times, creating many inches of roadway. Allow paint to dry.
Use a thin paint brush, and paint the outside edges of the road black. Allow to dry.
Draw a line along each 1” section of the road, which will result in the road consisting of a circular ribbon of 1”squares. Paint the lines black to match the edge of the road.
Paint the word “Start” on the first square in the road, on the outside border of the board.
Paint the word “Win” on the last square in the road, in the center of the board.
Paint a “?” on every other square. There should be a blank square between “Start” and the first “?”.
Paint “Back 4” on the every 5th square, with the first after the second “?”.
Look up questions and answers in the text book. On one side of each index card, write the question, with the answer.
Play the Game
Each player should place their token on “Start.” The object is to get to “Win” first. When it is a player’s turn, they roll the dice and move forward the number of squares, as corresponds to the dice roll.
Read a question card to the player who lands on a "?" square. If they get the answer correct, they can roll the dice and move their token to the square, according to the number on their dice roll. But they can’t answer another question until their next turn.
Go back 4 squares if you land on the “Back 4” tile.
