Things You'll Need
Instructions
Print out a large picture of a United States map. For best results, print your map in color on a high-quality printer (see Resources below).
Glue your map to a piece of cardboard.
Make game pieces out of clay into your desired shape.
Bake your clay in the oven at 250 degrees F or the temperature indicated on the package.
Remove from oven and let cool.
Decorate your game pieces as desired with paint, stickers, etc.
Type questions about the states. Be creative with your questions to include information like state mottos, nicknames, capitals, history of the states, etc.
Type the answers to your question in a separate document in the same format as the questions.
Print your question cards on a piece of cardstock paper. Remove from printer, then reload the printer with the same paper turned in the opposite direction.
Print your answers on the back sheet of the cardstock paper so that they match up with their corresponding questions.
Cut your questions into individual cards.
Make up rules for your game customized to your needs. They can be that any time a player gets a question right, they get a certain number of points. Or you can have them roll a dice to move along the map in a particular direction. The state they land on could be the state that they must answer a question about.
You will also need to develop an idea for the winner of your game. For example, it could be that the winner reaches a certain state first or the winner collects a certain amount of points the fastest.
