How to Print Chess Directions

Chess can be a bit of a complicated game to learn. To remedy the situation, you can use the built in functionality of Windows 7 to easily print directions for the game of chess. This physical copy will serve as a helpful reference while trying to learn the game.

Instructions

  Turn on your printer and make sure it is loaded with paper.

  Go to the file containing the directions for chess. Double click the file to open it. Go online and search for a website containing chess directions, if you have not already saved the file.

  Click "File." Click "Print" to print the document located on your computer. If online, right-click the page and select "Print" or use the printing function from your browser's menu. If you only wish to print part of the directions, select that portion of the directions by using your mouse to highlight the selection. Right-click the selection and select "Print Selection" in the "Print" menu.

  Finalize the process. Press the arrow upwards to increase the number of copies, if you want more than one set of instructions printed. If you obtain directions that contain a lot of text, you may want to conserve ink. Go to the print properties menu and select the "Fast Draft" option for print quality. Your printer will use less ink with this option. Press "Print." The chess directions will be sent to the printer.
