How to Label a Chessboard

One of the many ways that people learn to play chess is by reading and recreating famous games from their notation. The problem is, this notation makes significant use of a chessboard's numbered and lettered squares and most chessboards don't come with labels. A chessboard can be labelled with small stickers to help read the squares and reproduce those games.
