How to Solve Chinese Checkers

Repeating the same four moves in a repetitive sequence is the most efficient way to solve a Chinese Checkers board. By starting in the middle, you can move left, right, up or down alternating between rows and columns to solve the puzzle and win the game if you are playing in a group.   Start in the middle. The empty hole on the board should be in the center of the board. From there, move the second checker in the second row down to the fourth column.

  Work the Pattern. Move a checker from the third row to the second column, followed by a checker in the first row to the third column, followed by a checker from the fourth row to the third column, followed by a checker from the first row to the fifth column and the first row to the third column.

  Rework the pattern. Move a checker from the sixth row to the third column, from the fifth row to the first column, from the fifth row to the fourth column, from the third row to the first column and from the fifth row to the first column.

  Rework the pattern again. Move a checker from the fifth row to the sixth column, from the seventh row to the fifth column, from the fourth row to the fifth column, from the seventh row to the third column and from the seventh row to the fifth column.
