Good Sniper Settings for MWR

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex" brings the popular first-person shooter to the Nintendo Wii, letting you partake in a variety of military missions as both U.S. and British special ops soldiers. Sniping your enemies from a long distance can prove a highly effective technique during combat. However, in order to be a lethal sniper, you must use the correct game settings to ensure an accurate shot. While personal preferences will vary, a few specific settings can provide a solid foundation for sniping.
  1. Button Layout

    • The game provides six preset button layouts: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo and Foxtrot. The basic Alpha setup works well for sniping purposes. In Alpha mode the "Z" button on the Nintendo Wii nunchuk activates ADS, or Aiming Down Sight, which puts you in sniping mode. Once you find a target, pressing the "B" button on your Wii controller fires the weapon.

    Rifle

    • When you're playing as a sniper, your two best rifle options are the M21 and the M40A3. The greatest strength of the M21, which is locked until you reach Level 7, is that it's semi-automatic, meaning it can fire in quick bursts. This makes the M21 an excellent choice if you're new to sniping and lack confidence in your aiming. Meanwhile, what the M40A3 rifle lacks in stopping power, it more than makes up for in accuracy. Combine the M40A3 with a Stopping Power perk, which can be found throughout the game and increases your bullet damage by 25%, and you'll be virtually unstoppable.

    Aiming

    • Once you activate the ADS and look through your scope, you have three different aiming methods from which to choose: standard, precision and analog stick. If you select analog stick aiming, you aim with the stick and move with the controller D-pad. In standard aiming mode, where you point your Wii remote determines how fast the scope camera turns. Moving the remote toward the edges of the screen makes the camera rotate faster until you move the remote back toward the center of the screen. In precision mode, you simply move the Wii remote to the precise spot to which you want to move. The scope camera moves more slowly in precision mode, but it provides greater control. If you want to become an expert sniper, you should learn to master the precision aiming setting.

    Camera Speed

    • The camera speed setting controls how fast the camera moves, whether vertically or horizontally. Again, personal preferences will vary, but 25 acts as a good setting for horizontal and vertical speeds, while 30 works well for horizontal and vertical speeds in ADS mode.

    Scope Sensitivity

    • The scope sensitivity setting controls how much effort it takes to move the scope. The setting runs from 0 to 40, with a higher number making the scope bounce around with ease. Snipers require a bit more control than other player types, so opt for a scope sensitivity of around 15 to limit any unwanted movements that could compromise accuracy.
